You're all familiar with Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom, right?

At the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she's also the goddess of good grades. Every semester around exam time, UNCG students take a bite out of an apple and place it at the base of her statue in hopes of a passing (or better!) exam grade.

The students have also been known to leave coins and handwritten notes as an offering. Whatever it takes!

And our student who left the personalized apple above? He needs a little help in statistics. Give 'em all you've got, Minerva!
