The girls were absolutely feral during The Driver Era’s performance at The Ritz on April 20th. Dressed up in cowboy hats, sparkles and funky boots, the crowd took their jobs of being fan girls very seriously.

The opening performance by Colombian singer Valé got everyone moving and dancing. She was engaging with the audience, telling them how to sing along to her new song “Chill Like That” with her. With a beautiful voice and energetic stage presence, she definitely made some new fans that night, including me.

This show was sold out, and it definitely felt sold out. Everyone was packed in like sardines, scream-singing the night away. The Driver Era sang their most popular tunes, and even threw in a song from Teen Beach Movie. I was hoping to hear an Austin & Ally throwback as well, but my wish did not come true.

At one point in the night, Ross started taking his guitar off, and the ENTIRE crowd started chanting for him to take his shirt off. What came next was the loudest sound of screaming and crying and shouting I’ve ever heard. Ross finished the rest of the show sans shirt, eventually donning a cow print cowboy hat in place of his baseball cap.

As somebody who grew up watching Ross Lynch on Disney channel, this has definitely been one of my favorite shows to attend. I’m sure next time around, they’ll have outgrown The Ritz, so I’m happy that I got to see them perform at one of my favorite venues before that happens!
