This Subway police car and van can be found on Andy Griffith Parkway in the middle of Mount Airy. In Mount Airy, you'll find many buildings and signs with some sort of Mayberry tie-in, so seeing a car painted like a Mayberry police car isn't that strange. After the release of Cars, we began seeing makeshift Maters with giant eyes popping up here and there, so seeing vehicles with giant eyes isn't that surprising either.
What we DO find surprising is the whole Subway tie-in. What does Subway have to do with Cars or Mayberry? And why is this displayed in the middle of town on the Andy Griffith Parkway?
Not only that, this isn't even the only Subway police car in town. Anyone have any answers?
