Tar Baby's Pancakes is something I just stumbled upon one day in North Myrtle Beach. I had never eaten there (still haven't) nor had I ever heard of it, but I felt compelled to take a photo of the establishment's sign. If you check out Tar Baby's Pancakes' Yelp reviews, you'll find there are those that feel Tar Baby's makes a mighty tasty breakfast as well as those who feel it's served with a side of racism.

  3. Your loss if you never ate there. It had been a staple in the community since I was a child. Never went to the beach without eating there. Sorry it's gone

    1. Completely agree. The folks that owned it from the beginning of it's opening we're actually black Americans. They were good decent people that even if you cannot afford a meal and told them they would give you a meal for free. So sad to see this place close down since it has been I will treasure my shirt I bought from there for generations to come. Ignorant people should not be able to decide what is open and what is closed. Folks that never ate there and do nothing about it had it closed down because of something they believe. My fellow South Carolinians know and understand.. we need to stop letting folks that are not a part of our community come in and tell us how we should run our community. Especially when they don't get to know the people involved with that establishment. It's a damn shame
