The Bowery, located just a few feet from the Atlantic Ocean, is a Myrtle Beach bar that's been around since 1944 but is probably best known for its house band from 1973 to 1980: Alabama, the country superstars famous for hits like "Feels So Right," "Mountain Music," and "Love In The First Degree."

But that's not all! According to The Bowery, there have been several Guiness World Record holders employed at the bar:
"Scuba Osborne – a waiter at The Bowery – has the record according to the Guinness Book for carrying 34 mugs of beer (without a tray). Another former waiter at The Bowery, Don't Cry Joe, has a record set back in the 1930s for dancing 5,295 consecutive hours."
Hmm... maybe our math's a bit fuzzy, but dancing 5,295 consecutive hours means Don't Cry Joe went over 220 days without stopping. Should've called him Don't Sleep Joe!
