NC Museum Of Creation/Taxidermy Hall Of Fame Of NC/Antique Tool Museum (Southern Pines, NC)

Fellow North Carolinians! If you're planning on spending crazy money to take the family to Disney World, don't bother! Not only are the NC Museum Of Creation, the Taxidermy Hall Of Fame Of NC, and the Antique Tool Museum in your state, but they can be found under the very same roof in Southern Pines!

But if you're not looking out for them, you'll miss them. The only thing that told us about the museums was this guy standing outside the Christian bookstore/fudge shop:

This is the late Pastor Kent Kelly, founder and curator of the Creation Museum:

Probably one of the most talked about and photographed stops on the Creation Museum tour is the Proof Of Evolution case. Word has it the case used to empty, while now it holds a rubber snake. If this is, as the sign above the case reads, a display of "all the credible evidence of evolution," does this mean we'll all eventually evolve into snakes?

Most of the fare you'll find here is not dissimilar to what you'd find in the creepy cabin where a serial killer does his dirty work: bones, dead animals, photos of Ronald Reagan...

Also, the NC Museum Of Creation/Taxidermy Hall Of Fame Of NC/Antique Tool Museum is home to the Oldest Rock On Earth:

All joking aside, the NC Museum Of Creation/Taxidermy Hall Of Fame Of NC/Antique Tool Museum/Oldest Rock On Earth is a pretty impressive display. It's definitely worth a visit!
