When we went to check out "Guns And Roses," we never realized we'd stumble upon the awesomeness that is the Burton Street Community Peace Gardens. DeWayne Barton and Safi Mahaba created the Burton Street Community Peace Gardens in 2003 on a vacant lot in a drug and crime-ridden community. Now, the Peace Gardens are a living, breathing space of food gardens and art. We visited in the summer of 2015, so some/all of this art might not be there anymore, but we just had to share it with you.
