The late Asheville artist John Payne created life-sized scrap-metal dinosaurs that could be controlled by pulleys and Game Boys. After his death, his family displayed the dinosaurs in Asheville's Biltmore Park Town Square, giving visitors the opportunity to spend an afternoon controlling the life-sized dinosaurs for only five bucks. Eventually, Dino-kinetics closed and the dinosaurs were sold to a travelling company called Dinosaurs In Motion.

Luckily, this Utahraptor still remains in Asheville and was permanently installed twenty-five feet above the entrance to Wedge Studios, the art studio created by Payne.
