Helen lost her child from a fire at her nearby castle in Asheville. Not able to live with the grief, she hung herself from this bridge. Many have reported seeing a woman in the vicinity of the bridge late at night, wearing a white gown. Many visitors to Helen's Bridge have had the sensation of being kicked, punched, and slapped.

We did not encounter Helen during our visit to the bridge, nor did any of us experience getting kicked, punched, or slapped, although my wife did threaten to slap me on the way up to the bridge if I didn't stop looking over the side of the mountain and pay more attention to my driving.

I have heard so many stories about this bridge and that the ghost of Helen does in fact exist. There are stories of the punching and slapping but also of car batteries dying and the temperature dropping noticeably near the bridge. Thanks for sharing your experience.
ReplyDeleteApparently a friend of ours went night time and did see helens ghost in a white sheet they took a picture of it, we got it professional done at a camera shop and they that is not real its a hox, Apparently there is neighbors that live close by and likes to scare people. It's a white bed sheer with a neighbor inside of the sheet pointing at the bridge and as for noises it neighbors and also the car not starting is because they temporarily mess with the hood and temporarily losing the battery. So dummys really. I've been there but mid even and this guy changing into Helen's Ghost. So dummies that is what happens
