If you're travelling near the South Carolina Railroad Museum in Winnsboro, look across the street and you'll witness some art that has resulted in more than a few tongues wagging in town.

Bob Ford is a South Carolina artist who creates fire pits, motorcycles with two engines, and custom gas grills, but he is probably best known for his installation on Golf Course Road in Winnsboro. It depicts a man hanging from a plane in a tree, another man hanging from a utility pole, lots of bikes scattered about, and jagged tombstone-like rocks jutting from the ground.

We tracked Ford down and this is what he told us about the art:
A lot of this was really an accident. I put the two telephone poles up for my gate. After looking, I thought a man hanging like he was electric was kinda cool. But everybody called the cops, fire department, etc., and caused a lot of trouble, but it was all good. Then a friend called me and asked if I would like an airplane. I said, "Heck yeah!" A friend let me used a Lull forklift to put the plane up in the tree. Then it all started over again. The bikes were placed there to keep people from stealing them.
