You can't throw a rock in Asheville without hitting a mural. The city is alive with color. Prominent spots are downtown, Haywood Street, and the River Arts District. One spot in the River Arts District where you'll find a TON of murals is the Asheville Waste Paper Mill.

One of the newest murals in the area (as of June 2017) is the Homer Simpson/Bender mashup from NYC artist Jerkface. We're huge fans of The Simpsons and Futurama, so we absolutely love this mural!

Just below the Jerkface Homer Simpson/Bender mural, you'll find "Sparks" by Ian Brownlee.

Dustin Spagnola's zombie mural looks even more haunting against the backdrop of the waste paper bales and the scattered debris on the ground.

Between Spagnola's zombie and Homer, you'll find this mural by Peter Parpan.

Further down the Asheville Waste Paper Mill complex, you'll find this awesome Lemonade-era Beyonce by artist Gus Cutty. Cutty is also responsible for one of our favorite Asheville murals, the one of The Dude on the side of Sky Lanes.

This guy is by Alli Good.

This is part of a giant wall done by numerous artists during the 2016 Burners and BBQ event. In this section, you'll see a Dustin Spagnola zombie, some Patch Whisky, and in between, the intricate and beautiful work of Megan Kelly.

You'll find a piece by Lady Huns on a tractor trailer.

Finally, we don't know who did this Beetlejuice piece, but we love it!

There are so many more murals to discover at the Asheville Waste Paper Mill!
