The Toadies brought their tour with Local H to Durham's Motorco on October 24, 2017. Fresh off the September release of their The Lower Side Of Uptown album, the Toadies pulled into town read for a show and Vaden Todd Lewis and crew did not disappoint.

They tore through fan favorites like "Tyler," "Possum Kingdom," and "I Come From The Water" while sprinkling in a few tracks from the newest offering.

Guitarist Clark Vogeler was on fire and Lewis sounded as great as he did back in the Rubberneck days. After the tour with Local H ends in mid November, the band will play a few Texas dates at the end of the year.

Local H hit the stage first and kicked the crowd's ass.

Actually, we thought they were going to have to kick one particular fan's ass midway through the show. Seems they had a fan/heckler who didn't care much for the good-natured ribbing being thrown his way by frontman Scott Lucas. Cooler heads prevailed (or maybe one of his friends got out of the bar) and the show was amazing.

Drummer Ryan Harding pounded those skins so hard our arms were tired just watching him. If you're looking for a no-frills, in-your-face rock 'n' roll show, you wouldn't find much better than the Toadies/Local H tour.
