Counting Crows and Live brought their 50+ combined years of rocking to Charlotte's PNC Music Pavilion on Sunday, August 5th.

After a short opening set from two-piece band Boom Forest, Live hit the stage. We had seen Live open for Guns N' Roses last year, so we knew they still put on a good show. They put on a hell of a show, their "best show of [the] tour," according to guitarist Chad Taylor's Instagram feed. Singer Ed Kowalczyk sounded amazing, and the dual drums gave songs like "Pain Lies On The Riverside" that extra oomph. Live played an incredible set which was heavy on the hits.

LIVE SET LIST
"All Over You"
"Love Lounge"
"Pain Lies On The Riverside"
"The Dolphin's Cry"
"Selling The Drama"
"Baby What You Want Me To Do"
"The Distance"
"I Alone"
"Lakini's Juice"
"White, Discussion"
"Heaven"
"Turn My Head"
"Lightning Crashes"

Counting Crows put on a great show. The songs were heartfelt and Adam Duritz was amazing. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Duritz told stories between songs, telling the background information on the tunes or their inspiration. It was very cool and informative to hear.

This was a good tour pairing. All the fans in the first few rows were cheering madly for both Counting Crows and Live. The only drawback to the set? While we enjoyed Duritz's stories, we would have rather heard a few more of our favorite songs like "A Murder Of One" or "Mr. Jones."
