Less than a week after their performance of "Miracle" on Ellen that no doubt turned more than a few heads, Chvrches brought their show to Charlotte's Fillmore for ninety minutes of synth-heavy awesomeness.

When they caught the first glimpse of singer Lauren Mayberry clad in a gauzy gown and a t-shirt from opening act Lo Moon, the fans went insane. When they heard the opening synths of "Get Out," Chvrches' first and our favorite single from the Love Is Dead album, the crowd inexplicably managed to turn their adoration up a few decibels. Except for a brief interlude when Martin Doherty took the mic for "God's Plan" and "Under the Tide," he and Iain Cook were hard to see behind towers of synths. With the synths in the background and the absence of monitors, this left a huge stage for Mayberry to prance, twirl, and run around to the delight of her fans.

Mayberry is an amazing performer. She is funny, immensely talented, and her intense voice commands your attention. Chvrches still have a few 2018 dates remaining, so if they're coming to your town or you have some frequent flyer miles saved up, you really need to check them out!
