Raleigh's Mordecai House was built in 1785. Any home that old has to be home to a ghost or two. Visitors to Mordecai House have encountered the spirit of Mary Willis Mordecai Turk, who can sometimes be heard playing the antique piano.

The house is one of the more well-known haunted locations in the Carolinas. It was featured on SyFy's Ghost Hunters, though nothing really came of it. The house even has its own official paranormal team, The Ghost Guild Inc.

We visited the grounds about ten days ago, but didn't run into any ghosts, unless you count the Ghost Of It's Way Too Early To Be Thinking About Christmas because we saw someone taking photos for their Christmas cards.
