After nearly five weeks of voting, the readers of Strange Carolinas have named Lexington Barbecue North Carolina's Best BBQ. Stamey's came in second place and Clyde Cooper's Barbecue came in third place.
For two weeks, readers of Strange Carolinas were invited to nominate their favorite North Carolina BBQ joints. From February 25th to March 15th, readers were invited to vote for their favorite restaurants from the ten entries that received the most votes during the nomination period.
Here were the ten finalists as determined by the readers of Strange Carolinas:
