After nearly five weeks of voting, the readers of Strange Carolinas have named USS North Carolina North Carolina's Best Ghost Story. The Pink Lady Of Grove Park Inn came in second place and Lydia's Bridge came in third place.

For two weeks, readers of Strange Carolinas were invited to nominate their favorite North Carolina ghost stories. From February 25th to March 15th, readers were invited to vote for their favorite ghost stories from the ten entries that received the most votes during the nomination period.

Here were the ten finalists as determined by the readers of Strange Carolinas:

  • Crybaby Lane (Raleigh)
  • Helen's Bridge (Asheville)
  • Little Red Man (Winston-Salem)
  • Lydia's Bridge (Jamestown)
  • Mordecai House (Raleigh)
  • Pink Lady Of Grove Park Inn (Asheville)
  • Ri Ra Irish Pub (Charlotte)
  • USS North Carolina (Wilmington)
