Sisters Alyson and Amanda Michalka have been churning out hits for nearly fifteen years. Their fans have grown up with them, watching them first as Disney stars and now as characters on iZombie and Schooled, and loving their music along the way. The Cat's Cradle was packed on Sunday with tons of fans eager to see and hear the 2019 Aly & AJ.

Let's cut to the chase: for those of you wondering if they played their old stuff or turned their back on their early days, not only did they play songs like "Chemicals React, "Rush," and "Like Whoa," they closed with "Potential Breakup Song." So yeah, the old Aly & AJ received its proper attention. But so did the more mature, synth-heavy, new Aly & AJ. They played their entire five-song Sanctuary EP, which was released three days prior to the Cradle show. Was the crowd already familiar with Sanctuary? It didn't take long to find out. Aly & AJ led off the show with "Church" and "Star Maps," two standout tracks from the new EP.

And the crowd knew every word.

The show was great and they both sounded awesome. They played past hits, current hits, and even threw in a Kacey Musgraves cover for good measure. The crowd, most of whom were there long before opening act Armors hit the stage, loved every minute of it.
