When Lil Wayne and Blink-182 announced a co-headlining tour earlier this year, it turned more than a few heads. The tour rolled into Charlotte's PNC Music Pavilion on July 23rd and we were there to take in the rap and rock spectacle.

After a great opening set by Neck Deep, Lil Wayne hit the stage just as the sun was setting. To be honest, we were a little apprehensive about his set given he walked off the stage early into his show less than two weeks ago. He quickly put all fears to rest as he came out hitting hard.

He was smiling, smoking, and a beast.

Blink-182 played the entire Enema Of The State album, which just turned 20 (!!!) on June 1st. While these album tours can be a little sketchy, Enema contains many of Blink's hits ("What's My Age Again?," "All The Small Things," "Adam's Song"), and the show left plenty of time for non-Enema hits like "I Miss You," "First Date," and the band's encore, "Dammit."

As always, Travis Baker was insane behind the drum kit. And while Matt Skiba did a great job, I really missed the way Tom DeLonge's voice mixed with Mark Hoppus's vocals. Here's hoping one day they can put the past behind them and put on a proper reunion tour.
