Last week was the 10th Anniversary edition of the Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh, NC and brought tons of great acts like Sleater-Kinney, Jenny Lewis, and CHVRCHES. Unfortunately for us, we didn't do much hopping at Hopscotch this year. We only managed to make it to the Friday shows this year but what we saw made us kick ourselves for missing the other two days.

By far, the best act we saw at Hopscotch 10 was the incredible Ms. Jenny Lewis. From the opening notes of "Heads Gonna Roll," we were under her spell. Along the way, she played hits like "Red Bull & Hennessy," a few Rilo Kiley songs like "Silver Lining" and "With Arms Outstretched," and even had the Watson Twins join her for an amazing "Rise Up With Fists!!"

She put on an amazing show and her voice was as golden as the dress she was wearing!

Prior to Jenny Lewis, we checked out Orivlle Peck's set. Peck is an "anonymous" country singer who wears a leather fringe mask while performing. While a quick Google search will reveal his secret identity, the anonymity and mask add a certain danger to Peck's already deep and dreamy voice. He and his backing band put on great show and were the perfect appetizer for Jenny.

After Jenny Lewis's set, we headed over to Kings, put down our camera, and enjoyed some punk & hardcore in the form of Mutant Strain, GG King, and No Love.
