Carolina Camera was a short segment that ran on Charlotte's WBTV from the '70s to the '90s, though it was briefly resurrected in the 2010s. We found a treasure trove of old broadcasts on YouTube and will be sharing one of our favorites with you every Wednesday.

For this week's episode, we're bringing you the story of Frank Hill, known both as The Manure Man Of South Carolina and The Doo Doo Man. How did he get those monikers? He created necklaces from quail droppings. But don't laugh! His hobby and wit led to multiple appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Burt Reynolds saw one particular interview, and gave Hill parts in both Stoker Ace and Cannonball Run II.
