Morris the Horse can be found in downtown Tryon, NC. According to his nearby sign, the first Morris was built for a parade in 1928 by two boys that worked at Tryon Toy Makers. This is actually the fourth Morris and several of his forefathers met rather tragic ends. One was completely destroyed after being kidnapped by some hooligans and another was lost to a house fire.
