Smile Greensboro

Can a random piece of art make you cheerful? Someone is on a mission to make Greensboro a happier place by placing spray-painted traffic cones around town with one simple message: "Smile."



We spotted the first traffic cone on Saturday afternoon at an intersection. Since then, we have found two additional cones. All three are at stoplights near busy intersections, ready to give drivers stuck in traffic a moment to reflect and smile.



Unfortunately, we don't know anything about the artist(s) who created these cones. All three traffic cones have three things in common: a smiley face, the word "Smile," and the following tag inside the cone:
