This eagle, found along Highway 268 in Wilkesboro, once marked the entrance of Kenneth Walsh's Trail Of The Eagle Museum. Numerous businesses have set up shop in the building over the years, but according to Appalachian Journal, the Trail Of The Eagle Museum had a five-foot medallion painted on the ceiling. We would love to know if that's still there.
