In June of 2016, the city of Summerville set the Guinness World Record for World's Largest Iced Tea which contained 2,524 gallons of iced tea. According to Visit Summerville, the World's Largest Iced Tea was made using "210 pounds of local tea from the Charleston Tea Plantation" and "1,700 pounds of Dixie Crystals."
