Flogging Molly and The Interrupters, one of the most highly anticipated tours of the summer, rolled into Raleigh's Red Hat Amphitheater on June 21st. The longest day of the year was host to one of the best shows of the year.

After energetic opening sets from The Skints and Tiger Army, The Interrupters took the stage. We were lucky enough to catch The Interrupters at the final Vans Warped Tour, so we knew they'd put on a great show. And they didn't disappoint.

Led by Aimee Interrupter's raspy voice, The Interrupters' ska-punk blend will blow you away. They stomped on the accelerator and kicked off their set with "Take Back The Power" and never looked back. Along the way, they played fan favorites like "She Got Arrested," "She's Kerosene," and "Family;" "In The Mirror" and "Anything Was Better," two tracks off their upcoming album In The Wild; and an awesome cover of Bad Religion's "Sorrow."

Like The Interrupters, Flogging Molly is also a kickass live band. The crowd sang along to almost every word, even to new song "These Times Have Got Me Drinking."

The band plowed through nearly a dozen songs including "Drunken Lullabies," "Devil's Dance Floor," "If I Ever Leave This World Alive," and more. Frontman Dave King was at the top of his game, dancing around. His voice has never sounded better.

One thing I loved about the show overall was the number of families that were there. Seeing little kids with dyed hair and mowhawks, singing along to The Interrupters and Flogging Molly, made me smile.
