On Friday night, Chicago teens Horsegirl took The Grey Eagle stage for their first performance in Asheville in the middle of their North American tour with LIFEGUARD.

The trio delivered a tight and impressive performance made up of mostly songs from their album Versions Of Modern Performance. You could feel the excitement from the crowd during fan favorites "Anti-Glory" and "Billy."

The group formed and released their first single in 2019, but started performing in 2021 and they grew as artists and in popularity and were signed by Matador in April of 2021 and landed a spot at Pitchfork Festival that same year.

One of the best parts of live music is seeing the relationship that bands have on stage and Horsegirl was not the exception. From seeing their chemistry in their performance to seeing them jam out to LIFEGUARD together before taking the stage, there is no doubt that Horsegirl are all best friends having the time of their lives on tour.
