Concert Review: Falling In Reverse (Red Hat Amphitheater)

Ronald, stop screaming! You're waking up the neighborhood! What a fine night to experience flames and front-row metal music.

Kicking it off on this perfect weathered night was Jeris Johnson, aka The Viking! This kicked off the theatrics for the event. Coming on stage in a Viking shield and sword, allowing us a first-class ticket to Valhalla.

Next, the legend himself, Tech N9ne! Let me tell you, this was my first time seeing him live, and although he didn’t have the longest set, he was amazing. From addressing all photographers in the pit & all the fans to throwing back to some of our favorite rock/rap songs, such as “Straight Out The Gate” to my all-time Favorite “World Wide Choppers,” Tech N9ne was definitely one for the fuckin' books. He Saluted me on my way out of the pit.

Alright , let’s kick it up a notch! Black Veil Brides, opening up with “Faithless,” yelling “Let me hear you FUCKING SCREAM!!!” Oh, and that we did. Following, was a new song “Bleeders.” Let’s talk about energy. Lead singer Andy Biersack held NOTHING back. Major thank you to this man, who should really be a model by the way.

Now , Let’s get into Dance Gavin Dance. Let me tell you something. If you have epilepsy, you might wanna brace yourself! The lighting got pretty wild! However, these guys put on a freaking performance, galaxy pants and all!

Now let’s get to the main act that we’ve all been waiting for. FALLING IN REVERSE. Opening up with “Prequel” where Ronnie speaks his mind and lets it all out. “Zombified” was next and this was only the beginning of the overstimulation of tonight! Man! This was just fantastic. Some throwback songs were added into the setlist, where Ronnie even went to roast himself on the “Worst song he’s ever written” and having the crowd go wild.

Let’s up the antics. “Raise your hand If you or someone you know is a Fuckin ASSHOLE!! RAISE YOUR HAND IF ITS YOUUUUUU!” Ronnie then played some of the songs that truly made Falling In Reverse stand out. “Popular Monster,” “Voices In My Head,” where Ronnie stopped the show to make sure a fan was okay and not passing out during the show. Giving us a redo on that one! “All My Life”and more. Time to WATCH THE WORLD BURN!

Now that the crowd was warmed all the way up, he had one final song. RONALD. Bringing out The main man himself Tech N9ne! We didn’t have Alex Terrible on this one, however Ronnie made up for the both of them with his wondrous vocals. The energy was vibrant, cheerful, and just damn right beautiful. Once done , Ronnie & Tech wished us all a wonderful night and a safe ride home and of course thanked us for showing up to support them. You do NOT want to miss these bands if they are in your area.
