"It's a regular Tuesday, and you all came to see us!? How did you even find out about this!?"
COIN did not come to play! The Nashville-based band, known for their vibrant indie-pop sound, brought energy, intimacy, and dynamic visuals to the stage, with opener Aidan Bissett setting the tone. Fans cheered from the moment Aidan stepped out, swooning over his infectious energy and charm—a perfect warm-up for what was to come with COIN.
COIN's stage was marked by a striking light installation in the background that would suddenly explode with light throughout the concert, contrasting beautifully with darker moments.
One of the show's most touching points was a quiet piano section where lead singer Chase Lawrence captivated the audience with a piano performance. The crowd fell respectfully silent, with everyone so still and focused on his voice that it felt intimate—a rare moment of complete hush at a concert. Chase later said, "Wow, that was so nice. Thank you, everyone."
Chase expressed his fondness for the city, telling the audience, "I love NC, I really do. Raleigh—the greatest city in the world." He even added, "You know, I've never felt this way before at a concert, but it feels like we're performing at home in front of family," making the night feel even more special.
Highlights of the set included "Problem," an absolute live banger that had the crowd jumping and dancing along with Chase's every move. Definitely a song that I instantly added to my Spotify playlist.
During "Malibu 1992," the lighting transformed into a glowing sunset behind the band, creating a visually stunning backdrop that added to the song's nostalgic, dreamy vibe.
When COIN briefly left the stage, the crowd's deafening chants for an encore showed that the Raleigh audience weren't ready to leave just yet!
The encore didn't disappoint—Chase took up both harmonica and guitar for "Strawberry Jams," adding an unexpected layer to the already dynamic performance. The night concluded with "Crash My Car," a track that had the audience screaming every lyric as loud as they could. As Chase put it, it was "just a regular Tuesday night in Raleigh," but it felt anything but. COIN turned it into an unforgettable night for Raleigh.
