Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, August Burns Red, and Bleed From Within had arrived to Raleigh for the last stop of their tour. I was extremely excited as Bullet For My Valentine was my first concert as a kid. Man, this line-up was infectious with energy.

First to the stage was Bleed From Within, brining pure Scottish metal to NC. Man, those dudes left an impression from the amazing bagpipes, to shredding on a guitar, to vocals that sounded like Thor was backing the lead singer up! These dudes play ZERO games.

Second was this amazing band I failed to realize until half the set was over that I used to listen to them on an old iPod. August Burns Red took the stage, Opening up with a cover of "Chop Suey." I mean how else can you extremely hype up a crowd? Yeah you freakin Chop Suey it! So much fun to finally have been able to see these guys in person. To have all the songs I used to listen to back in my rebellious days played out loud and have so much interaction with the lead singer Jake Lurhs was an extreme honor.

Third was the band my heart was very very excited for: Bullet For My Valentine. To see this band play again almost twenty years later was not just nostalgic but beautiful. Playing songs like "Hearts Burst Into Fire," "Waking The Demon," "Tears Don’t Fall," songs of my childhood. What an honor to have felt so seen by such an infamous band that has dealt with so much on their uprise. Let me tell you my friends, Bullet For My Valentine is here to stay and will be back to Raleigh, assured lead singer Matthew Tuck.

Lastly, the sun had set and it was time for the amazing light work show and killer performance of Trivium, a band I’ve never seen live before but rest assured I’ll see them again and again. The guys put on an amazing performance. First time I’ve ever seen multiple mosh pits at Red Hat, even in the lawn! From agreeing guitars to incredible light work, Trivium killed it. I left the show in complete awe. Goosebumps.
Needless to say if any of these bands are on your side of town , Be absolutely sure to check it out for special treat.
