I Want My '80s Tour (Red Hat Amphitheater)

Rick Springfield brought the '80s back Wednesday evening at Red Hat Amphitheater!

The group of rock stars set to perform with him included the incredible John Cafferty, John Waite, and Wang Chung.

Even with three opening acts, the night still flew by. This was by far one of the best shows I have been to - they all brought so much energy to the stage, and it was so exciting being right up front watching one of the greatest rock stars perform. It was a little tricky, however, to take photos while also trying to sing along to "I've Done Everything for You!"

While Springfield wasn't wearing his signature red Chucks for this show, he did make sure to pull his signature move of strumming his guitar with a bouquet of roses multiple times. Rose petals littered the stage by the end of the evening.

During "Don't Talk to Strangers," there was a competition between the under 55 and over 55 crowd to see who could be the loudest singers. While I gave it my all, I was still outnumbered and the over 55 crowd took the win.

And just like peanut butter goes with jelly, you cannot have a Rick Springfield show without "Jessie's Girl." This song was teased briefly during the concert, but the full performance was saved for the encore - and it was definitely worth the wait.

While I love so many new musicians and enjoy all of the concerts that I go to, nobody can compete with the real deal music legends and the ROCK STAR that Rick Springfield is.
