Just Announced: Thomas Dolby Will Make Three Appearances at Moogfest 2019

Thomas Dolby will be making three appearances at this year's Moogfest festival, which includes both a live performance at Durham's Carolina Theatre on April 27th as well as a two-way interview with 2018 Pulitzer Prize finalist Jason Leopold. While most folks will circle the live performance date on their calendar, I can assure you that you will not want to miss his interview either. I had the privilege of interviewing Dolby in 2011 as part of another publication's celebration of MTV's 30th Anniversary. He was thoughtful, humorous, very techy, and one of my favorite interviews I've ever conducted. The interview was done via Skype, so he called me from his recording studio, which was actually housed in a wind-and-solar-powered lifeboat. During the course of the interview, he turned the camera around and showed me the complete setup of his boat studio. I majorly geeked out.
