Just north of Point Pleasant, there's an abandoned TNT area that is home to a rumored 100 igloos that were used to store ammunition during WWII. Numerous Mothman sightings were made near the igloos, which led people to believe it might've been the Mothman's home. Even if the Mothman didn't live there, it's still a pretty creepy place.

Over the years, we've been to plenty of creepy places: cemeteries, haunted areas, places where people have been murdered, etc. But nothing has creeped me out more than my visit to the TNT igloo.

Maybe it was because I had read that one of these igloos exploded about 10 years ago.

Maybe it was because you have to drive back a long gravel road to get to the TNT area. And nothing freaks out my co-pilot more than a long gravel road.

Maybe it was because when I got out of the car, a bolt of lightning went across the sky.

Maybe it was because I ran into two ghosts on the way there. I saw two emo kids on my way to the igloo. Since the whole emo scene died a decade ago, I can only assume they were ghost emos. However, they were friendly and showed me the location of an igloo.

Maybe it was because I thought the Mothman was going to fly by and gobble me up or something. Whatever it was, when I entered the igloo, every step I made made this weird, wet, echoey sound that totally freaked me out. That's why the photos inside the igloo don't look so hot. I didn't stay too long.

And for those of you who read this far, can you guess what the inside of a TNT igloo smells like?

Weed.
