City and Colour packed The Ritz in Raleigh on Tuesday night. It was their second to last show in the U.S. before they take off to Europe next month.

The Canadian singer opened with his hit song, “Meant to Be,” from his most recent album, The Love Still Held Me Near. The album was released this past March.

Dallas Green’s energy and passion was evident throughout the night. He appealed to all his fans, playing songs from his previous albums, some almost a decade old. Towards the end of the night, City and Colour left the stage but cheers from the crowd continued until Green and the band took stage again. They played a few more songs and saved their greatest hit, “Sleeping Sickness,” for last. Fans appreciated the nostalgia and shouted every lyric from the floor to the balcony before Dallas thanked the crowd one last time.

Jaye Jayle kicked off the night and opened for City and Colour as they have for the entirety of the tour. A new album, Don’t Let Your Love Life Get You Down, has fans relating and singing along. Singer Evan Patterson is known for his deep and gritty sound. Originally a solo project, his music reflects the influence of Americana, folk, and electronic music. Jaye Jayle’s official Instagram account states that more tour dates will be announced soon.
