On Friday night, we celebrated music with Godsmack.

We collectively celebrated 25 years of Godsmack featuring songs like "Love-Hate-Sex-Pain," "Voodoo," "Turning To Stone," and more. The crowd raved as we traveled through a psychedelic and nostalgic set.

Sully Erna, lead singer of Godsmack, took to the stage to share his wonderful memories with Godsmack, and their new path of doing smaller and more intimate shows that they haven’t done since 2004. Then, he welcomed North Carolina to the journey, followed by playing "Voodoo!"

They paid homage to artists that are no longer with us like Chester Bennington and Amy Winehouse. Sully then decided to make some noise while playing “Under Your Scars” as we cheered for those artists that we love so much!

They then played “Lighting Up The Sky” while a video played of their journey, from riding Harleys together to putting on amazing shows, along with some backstage shenanigans.

They then paused to introduce Durham to Sully Erna's mother, who joined us in this beautiful performance. As as he embraced his mother the crowd rumbled and made tons of noise! He told his mother to stop buying bootleg t-shirts, to grab one from the merch table and he'll give it to her for free. As she laughed, so did the crowd.

We closed the show with the cover of "Come Together" by The Beatles, the Godsmack Way!

This was a beautiful show, an amazing performance. I personally had a blast shooting photos for the band I’ve loved since a young age! The message of celebrating music and togetherness through music was beautiful, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for the rest of the tour!
